Elmhurst Armpit Orchestra wants Bill Murray to lead their parade

It certainly seems that people want Bill Murray to attend their events/act in their movies/be their friend. The Elmhurst Armpit Orchestra is no exception, as they built the world's largest drum as a way to entice Mr. Murray to lead their St. Patty's Day parade.

Murray's character from Stripes, John Winger, serves as inspiration for the orchestra and they want the real deal to lead them on March 9th. The drum built to woo Bill is 9 feet in diameter, and weighs 500+ pounds. It's named Mary, and Bill's face is right in the middle. Good luck to the EAO!

Bill Murray: Super Fan

We all know of Bill's presence in the sports world, whether it be this past weekend's golf Pro-Am, professional and minor league baseball, or just randomly showing up at sporting events. According to Tommy Tomlinson, Murray is a "super fan" and clearly the #1 celebrity sports fan. I can't say I disagree; see Tommy's reasons why Bill Murray is the man by clicking here.

Watch Bill live at Pebble Beach

CBS is live streaming the Pebble Beach Pro-Am today and tomorrow from 3pm-6pm EST. Click here to watch and hopefully Bill Murray will do something else crazy, like collapsing into a bunker!

After missing a shot during the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Bill thought it would be prudent to collapse into a bunker on the course (where he probably made sand angels). Whenever Mr. Murray goes near a golf course, you can expect hijinks like this:

As you all know, the first (of hopefully many) Bill Murray Appreciation Day took place this past Saturday, February 2nd. About 30 fans dressed like several Murray characters and participated in a pub crawl in an attempt to woo Mr. Murray himself. Alas Bill didn't show, but it looks like everyone had fun if the following pictures are any indication.
